Although there is a lot of translation softwares available, learning still could be advantageous. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
With the advancement of technology, lot of translation softwares are developed and used by people to learn different languages but it is generally believed that learning a language is still more beneficial. I totally agree with this statement and I have my views which I am going to discuss in the upcoming paragraph.
To begin with, I tend to believe that it is beneficial for a student to learn different languages as per the requirements of universities of different countries because these universities look for the students who know their language so that they can interact with them without any problem.
In addition, this will also help the travelers who are fond of exploring the world because if they learn different languages, they will not only be able to communicate but it also improves their social skills and confidence which may help them to explore more
Alternatively, the translation softwares are not much beneficial as they only translate words or sentences and not the emotions. For example, if a person says ‘’ I am your fan’’ then the software may examine the word ‘’fan’’ as a machine. These translating machines can not understand the grammar and other fundamentals of the language. They may translate a few sentences accurately but putting a whole passage in other language is not possible for a machine.
To sum up, I personally believe that learning languages is beneficial as it improves our communication skills as well as builds our confidence to speak to another country’s people.
