One outdoor activity I participated in was planting saplings on my school campus as part of a tree plantation drive.
The event took place in the vast playground of my school, where dedicated sections were prepared for planting. Despite the scorching heat of the day, students enthusiastically joined hands to contribute to the environment.
It happened during Environment Week, which our school celebrated last year in July. The principal, along with our teachers, explained the significance of trees before we began. Being aware of environmental challenges, I felt motivated to participate.
I liked the activity a lot, although it involved physical effort like digging and watering under the sun. If such drives were conducted more often, they could significantly improve the greenery around us. Instead of just hearing lectures about environmental conservation, this hands-on experience made us realize its true importance.
The satisfaction of contributing to nature made it unforgettable. Moreover, when I see those saplings growing today, it fills me with pride, knowing I played a role in this and had the joy of nurturing life.
