Some people say it is the government’s responsibility to fund buses while others think parents should be responsible for bringing their kids to school. Discuss the both views and give your opinion.
Community to school on daily basis is a part of every school going child. A group of people hold an opinion that it would be wonderful if government take the liability to provide buses to the school to pick up their students whereas others have different perception and come up with the suggestion that parents should take this responsibility. I will discuss both the view before I reach my judgment.
To begin with, people who are in the favor of handing over the responsibility of funding buses for school children to government believe that if buses are provided by the government, no child will remain devoid of education due to transportation unavailability. Students from every nook and corner will be picked and dropped to the school. Consequently, children even from remote areas will also reach school and get literate. For instance, in few villages, kids used to stay at home instead of going to school but with the introduction of buses provided by government, the hike in number of students reaching school is noticed.
In addition, school buses help children understand the value of discipline as they reach and come back from school on time. There is no chance of going astray even if they are willing to. Moreover, reaching school with their classmates is a memory that is cherished for good. They not only make lifetime memories but also learn to co-operate.
On the flip side, people who say it should be left on parents to pick their kids from school believe that in this day and age, no one can be trusted especially when it comes to kids. The well-being of a child cannot be assured if he is sent to school by bus as driver exhibits irresponsible behavior. For example, in news it was shown how a school bus fell into a ditch due to reckless driving of a driver which resulted in many students losing their lives.
Furthermore, children’s safety can be promised provided that they are dropped to schools by their parents. Moreover, Children also do not have to stand at bus stops looking for their bus which leads to inconvenience and wastage of time.
Finally, after scanning both the views I believe that although children dropped by their parents get many advantages but importance of school buses cannot be taken for granted as it is a life time memory for them along with learning and they also inculcate the habits of being punctual and disciplined.
