The responsibility to prevent global environment damage is on politician rather than individuals. Do you agree or disagree?
The most concerning issue to discuss today is an environmental damage which is a result of detrimental human activities. It is a thought that political leaders have the authority to prevent the destruction of the environment at the global level and not the people. I do not consider the idea to be very useful as people can bring noticeable change by their efforts.
To begin with, I believe that each person has the power to alter the society. Instead of putting things on authorities if every citizen determines not to take any action against environment, the conditions of surroundings can be improved. As it is said, “every drop counts” similarly, every individual needs to be aware of the cause of the problem and be responsible not to practice it.
Additionally, if I talk about the causes of environmental problems, global warming comes to the mind first which is rising due to the fossil fuels that release carbon dioxide in the nature. Despite knowing the negative effects of it, people use these resources at a large scale for example, to run machines in industries, for commuting and so on. Lowering down the use of these resources can be the plausible way to address the issue.
Moreover, in this age and time when we need to grow more and more trees to deal with the damage, deforestation is commonly seen to build the industries. Nature should not pay for the country’s growth. People not only need to understand their roles in protecting the nature but also to help it flourish more. For instance, chipko movement was organized in a village where ladies hugged the trees in order to save them from being cut.
To summarize, sustainability of nature is the dire need of time. So, I believe nature can be preserved by common man’s efforts provided that they need to mend their ways and inculcate the habits aforementioned to keep the Mother Nature intact.
