Some people say that the bicycles are a good, modern means of transportation. Other say riding bicycles has clear disadvantages. Discuss both the views and give your opinion.
Bicycle is a useful vehicle that helps to commute from one place to another. There are some people who believe that bicycles are the best mean of transportation and other section of people believe that is has clear demerits. I am going to discuss both the views which will help me reach my view.
To begin with, some people believe that bicycle is a good mode of transport because it is environmental friendly. It does not produce any type of pollution like noise pollution, air pollution and so on like other means of transportation. For example, a study reveals that area in which people use bicycles to commute are less polluted than others.
In addition, bicycles do not need well maintained infrastructure because they are small in size so riders can ride the bicycle even on narrow roads also in modern time there is a shortage of fuel and bicycles can resolve this problem. Riding bicycles keep our body fit, although there are many fitness activities present but riding a bicycle is one of the best activities to keep our body fit.
Alternatively, other people believe that bicycles have some drawbacks because they believe that it consumes too much time as compared to other vehicles and it is uncomfortable for people and they cannot travel on it with their families.
Last but not the least, it is one of the unsafe modes of transport. In present time, there are many heavy vehicles that are running on the road and bicycle does not have any safety equipments and at the time of accident it causes serious injuries to the rider. For example, a famous analytic company reveals a data that in the last three years so many bicycle riders died in road accidents.
To sum up, I personally believe that bicycles are good mean of transport to use because whole world is suffering from pollution but bicycles are eco-friendly and it does not produce any kind of pollution and also keep the body healthy.
