Some teachers think international student exchange would be beneficial for all teenage school students. Do you think its advantages outweigh the disadvantages?
International student exchange program is a practice that is adopted by some educational institutions in which the learner are sent to overseas colleges and universities for a short period of time. There is a group of educators who firmly hold an opinion that if such programs are organizes it will be highly beneficial for the learners. This trend has both merits and demerits which I am going to elaborate in ensuing paragraphs.
To begin with the potential merit, when students join such a program, they feel extremely excited that they are getting a great opportunity of learning in an international program. The enthusiasm exhibits their interest in learning new things. They get ready to visit international university in order to accumulate knowledge.
In addition, studying in an international institute give them exposure of the culture of the country they are in. They come out of their books and see what is happening in world. They get to know the new method adopted by overseas institutions for their curriculum.
For example, international programs make them learn practical skills where as in their home countries they depend on simple bookish knowledge.
Alternatively, there are some demerits of these programs too. Firstly going abroad is not an easily affordable affair. There are many under privileged people in the society who can not afford the expenditure. The student who miss these opportunity feel disappointed and some time go in depression.
Last not least, distraction from studies is another serious issue related with these programs. School students are not mature enough to understand the objective of these events. Joining such programs is only a picnic trip for them and it distracts them from their studies resulting in poor academic performance.
To sum up, undoubtedly there is a great demand of international student exchange program. I personally believe that its advantages outweigh the disadvantages because student gets opportunity to visit international society and get exposure to new methods and techniques of learning which eventually widens their horizon of knowledge.
Some people believe that it is important to give gift to friends and family to show that we care about them. Others think that there are some better ways to show that we care. Discuss both the views and give your opinion.
The practice of giving presents to our near dear ones on their special occasions is something that can be taken as the delightful culture of the society. A section of society who holds a view that giving gift is nice gesture while others believe there are some other better ways by which we can express our emotions for the close ones. Scanning of both the views will help me reach my perception.
To begin with, people who are in favor of giving gifts believe that it is the cutest practice to wrap something in a beautiful glittering paper, write good wishes on it and give it to the special one. Such a gesture makes not only a child crazy but also an elderly one feels important. The most tangible paradigm is the excitement children exhibit while opening their gift boxes.
In addition, many times instead of wrapping a box of chocolate as a gift, something that a person needs is given in order to make one realize that people around him not only know his needs but are also ready to fulfill it. Unforgettably, gift is a token of love which become the part of sweet memory and work to sweeten and strengthen the bonds of relations.
On the flip side, other argues that since everyone is highly occupied in their daily pursuits, sparing time for darlings can be a better option. Sitting with an elderly person, enquiring about his health, telling funny activities of the day would definitely bring happiness for the receiver. Last but not the least, special treatment like surprises, picnic trips, arranging day off makes someone realize that there are people who care concerned about him.
Finally, after scanning both the views I find the practice of giving gifts important but provided that a desired thing should be wrapped. This appealing practice brings more sweetness in relation and keep the bonds blissfully intact.
The responsibility to prevent global environment damage is on politician rather than individuals. Do you agree or disagree?
The most concerning issue to discuss today is an environmental damage which is a result of detrimental human activities. It is a thought that political leaders have the authority to prevent the destruction of the environment at the global level and not the people. I do not consider the idea to be very useful as people can bring noticeable change by their efforts.
To begin with, I believe that each person has the power to alter the society. Instead of putting things on authorities if every citizen determines not to take any action against environment, the conditions of surroundings can be improved. As it is said, “every drop counts” similarly, every individual needs to be aware of the cause of the problem and be responsible not to practice it.
Additionally, if I talk about the causes of environmental problems, global warming comes to the mind first which is rising due to the fossil fuels that release carbon dioxide in the nature. Despite knowing the negative effects of it, people use these resources at a large scale for example, to run machines in industries, for commuting and so on. Lowering down the use of these resources can be the plausible way to address the issue.
Moreover, in this age and time when we need to grow more and more trees to deal with the damage, deforestation is commonly seen to build the industries. Nature should not pay for the country’s growth. People not only need to understand their roles in protecting the nature but also to help it flourish more. For instance, chipko movement was organized in a village where ladies hugged the trees in order to save them from being cut.
To summarize, sustainability of nature is the dire need of time. So, I believe nature can be preserved by common man’s efforts provided that they need to mend their ways and inculcate the habits aforementioned to keep the Mother Nature intact.
