Some employers want to be able to contact their staff at all time even on holidays. Does this development have more advantages than disadvantages.

Maintaining communication with employees is crucial for any employer, as the synergy between the employer and staff is vital for the company’s operation. It is commonly observed that many employers prefer to stay connected with their staff, even during vacations. This practice has both advantages and disadvantages, which I will explore in the following paragraph.

To begin with, there are notable benefits for employers who stay in contact with their staff during vacations. This approach allows employers to stay informed about the ongoing activities at the workplace, particularly with regard to emergency projects. Employees can readily share crucial details, enabling the employer to provide necessary assistance and take prompt action.

Additionally, another advantage is that in the absence of a staff member on holiday, the employer can still obtain essential information by maintaining communication. This ensures that work can continue seamlessly and be completed without unnecessary delays.

On the flip side, the drawback of staying in contact with employees during holidays is that it may impede their ability to fully enjoy their time off. Vacation is typically a time for relaxation and tranquility, and remaining in touch with work matters can introduce stress and hinder the enjoyment of the holiday. Individuals may feel irritated and find it challenging to disconnect from work responsibilities.

In conclusion, the practice of staying in contact with staff during vacations has both positive and negative aspects. However, I personally believe that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, especially in emergencies where prompt communication can be crucial to resolving issues and preventing potential crises within the company.
