Media and news are the sources of providing the information about any action or happening that takes place in the society. Some times news and media shows vulgar crime videos or news on their channels which cause fears and also sometimes provoke culprits due to this, some people opine that these kinds of crime news should not be telecast on televisions. I agree with this statement to some extent because there are some factors which can not be ignored.
To begin with, those people who believe crime news should not be shown because first of all, these kinds of news are very disturbing which can put a negative impact on child and also some people who are soft hearted get afraid easily due to which in some cases that fear make room in their mind and they avoid going anywhere alone.
In addition to this, crime news also provokes the criminals like sometimes the bad doers get ideas from watching news like how the crime takes place, how the criminals try to hide the evidence and do it again. So, due to this crime scenes should not be shown.
Alternatively, there are some other factors too that are important why the news should be telecast because these news create awareness in the society like when people watch these news then they can be prepared already and also what to do in these kinds of situations. Also, whenever media shows any crime related news then sometimes they also provide helpline or emergency numbers information which can be very helpful for people.
Moreover, these news also tells about how the criminals get caught and what punishment is given to them which teaches the lesson to those who are thinking to do any sinful act and will not do anything because of fear of the punishment. So, these news are very important.
To sum up, it is true that crime news cause fear among people and provoke criminals but somewhere it is also necessary because it creates awareness and put fear in the mind of potential criminals so that they do not repeat the mistake.
