Media and news show vulgar crime on news which causes fear and provokes culprits. Some people think that crime news on TV should not be telecast. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Nowadays, crimes are increasing day by day. A section of people believe that crime news should not be telecast on the television because media and news show vulgar crimes on news which causes fear amongst societies and provokes the culprits. I agree with this statement to some extent and I also reserve my views.
To begin with, some people say that media and news shows should not telecast vulgar crimes on television because when people watch these types of news, they stop going outside because of the fear of culprits. For instance, majority of people in societies do not allow girls to go out and continue their studies at home because of fear of crime.
To add on, if crime related news is telecast on television then criminals take more ideas to do more crimes which is not good for individual’s development and it also enhances the confidence of criminals to do worst things to achieve their targets easily.
Alternatively, I personally believe that if the news which is related to crime is telecast on television through media and news channels, it can aware people about the incidents happening in the society and they can take the safety measures accordingly.
Moreover, if the strict actions taken by the authorities are shown on TV then it will be a lesson and warning for the other people who are willing to commit the crimes. This is not only beneficial for other people but also helpful in reducing the crime.
To sum up, if media and news telecast the news of crimes then it is good idea as when people will watch it , they will become aware of any type of crime and if government takes strict actions against criminals, it can be a lesson for others.
