Some experts opine that a new language should be introduced for all countries for international communication. Do you think the benefits of introducing a new international language will outweigh the problems?
As of today, there are thousands of languages through which people around the world are communicating with each other. A section of specialists suggest that introduction of an international language is necessary in all country for the motive of international communication. I believe that this action have both pros and cons which I am going to discuss below.
To commence with, having an international language is essential because of many reasons. Since, people in different nations speak different languages so; there always remain a language barrier between them which comes along with the risk of people misunderstanding each other. Presence of global or universal language can prevent this from happening.
Furthermore, a new universal language can also help in economical growth. As businessmen all over the world will be able to understand each other without the need of translators, it could help many businesses expend globally. It will also enhance world trade as people can now understand each other easily. This development will ultimately increase employment opportunities.
On the flip side, I believe that there could be some conflicts. There could be senior citizens who could be reluctant for not learning an international language. For instance, they can pose problems for their grandchildren who want to learn the new language.
Additionally, student in schools are already having pressure of their studies. It is undeniable that addition of a new language to their syllabus will burden them more.
To sum up, this trend has got both advantages and disadvantages but I personally believe that interdiction of a new global language will definitely have more upsides as the language barrier between the nations and people can be abolished completely.
