Students’ Attempt 14

Some people think that children should school sooner while other believe that they should not start school before the age seven. Discuss both the views and give your perception.

Admitting children at school remains controversial. There are two groups of people debating about the most appropriate age for children to start schooling. Some people believe that children should be admitted in school at early age while others argue that the age should be at least seven when they start to go to school. Scanning of both the views will help me in reaching my perception.

To begin with, some people argue that children should start school sooner because firstly, young children have a considerably higher abilities to learn things. Consequently, if a child starts school at the age of three or four, he\she can easily learn fundamental things such as colors name, vegetables name and many more. For instance, nowadays parents send their juvenile to kindergarten to learn basic skills. Thus, it helps both parents and children if they start school early.

Additionally, school is the only place where child spends more time, so at early age they start learning basic routine of life like how to finish lunch, how to behave with others and to make new friends. Thus, with these basic activities, they start learning ethics and manners for example they learn to take permission for washrooms. At early age they memorize and learn new things which become very much interesting for them to do.

On the flip side, others believe that children till seven should spend more time with their parents at home as they learn more because they ask many questions to their parents. Also, before seven they cannot distinguish between good or bad so if they stay with their parents, they learn the difference between right and wrong and then they become able to manage in school by themselves.

Additionally, school pressure may restrict their ability to play freely and learn from their surroundings. As schools have some rules and regulations. Moreover, the regular school homework may put burden on the little shoulders which is not a positive way of growing and learning for a child.

Finally, the notion has both the arguments but I personally believe that sending children early to school has more benefits as young brains learn things more easily and excitedly. Thus, it will help them to develop good habits for future.
