Many products that we buy are made in other countries. Discuss both advantages and disadvantages of buying foreign goods.
The trend of globalization has become a common in this present era. There are ample of commodities which we buy are produced by other nations. There are both merits and demerits of giving preference to foreign products.
To commence with, there are some major benefits of using other country’s product like if different kind of goods are imported from other places, there is a variety of goods which are available for consumers. Apart from this, there are a lot of products which varies in terms of cost due to which everyone is able to buy things.
In addition to this, the importing of goods from other nations help a country to build a good relation with other. Since, if a nation has good social and economical bond with others, it will be helpful for them because if a country gets stuck in any type of crisis, there is a supporter for them who will give them a backup. For example, recently, Bangladesh was not able to feed their citizen at that time India gave them both financial and economical support.
Alternatively, despite its benefits there are some drawbacks too of this practice such as the high costs of imported goods like when a product is imported from other country, ample of taxes are applied on it due to which its rates get shoot up and are available at very high costs to buyers. Thus, only limited people prefer to buy these items.
Last but not the least, when eating goods are exported to other nation a lot of preservatives are used to keep it protected from any problem. Many chemicals are injected into items, so that it can remain fresh for longer days which is not safe for an individual.
I personally believe that foreign items should definitely be brought to the nation because it not only provides different kind of goods but also strengthen the social and economical relation with other countries.
My bottom line is that despite having advantages and disadvantages, different commodities should be imported.
