In present days, academic credentials are much needed to step into a world of success. Though some individual think that government should decide the subjects for students studying in university. Others are of the opinion that students should be allowed to choose the subject of their choice. In my opinion, students can take better decisions than government because they are more concern and dedicated toward their future.
To begin with, a section of society believes that government should decide academic stream of individuals. Firstly, it would help to cure the issue of unemployment. For instance, government will provide employment to the students in that sectors where need of employees are more and this can be done by preferring subjects to the students of their own choice and more this will impact positively an other sectors of industries also.
Secondly, apart from that, if authorities provide subjects, they can balance most of the students follow the rat race and the end result will put them in unemployment sector.
On the other hand, there are certain individuals that students should decide their further subjects of study. To begin with, it is irrefutable fact that person provides better results if they are working in the field of their interests. For instance, there are personalities who have achieved a great success in their choice interests even though there was a limited chance of success.
Moreover, the process of self-selection creates the sense of freedom and responsibility. Another big reason is that nowadays students are more concerned about their future as they have more knowledge about the subject they are choosing as more facilities like internet, Google and many more are there to help them to depict the pros and cons of different subjects.
To sum up, both the ways of choosing subjects are important but in opinion students should choose their subjects with their own perception because when they choose according to their choice they study with more dedication and put more efforts to shape their future.
