The Mean Crow
Once upon a time, there were two crow buddies named Coco and Moco. They were really close pals, but one day they got into a fight about who was better. To settle their argument, they decided on a contest. The challenge was simple: each crow had to fly with a bag filled with something in their beaks. The crow that could fly the highest would be declared the winner.
Coco, being a bit sneaky, wanted to win no matter what. He was determined to show he was better than Moco. So, he came up with a clever plan. Coco filled his bag with fluffy cotton balls, while he put salt in Moco’s bag. Moco, being a straightforward crow, didn’t catch on to Coco’s trick.
On the chosen day, the two friends took off into the sky. At first, Coco soared higher than Moco because his bag was light with the cotton. Meanwhile, poor Moco struggled to gain height because of the heavy salt in his bag.
As they were flying, raindrops started falling from the sky. The cotton in Coco’s bag soaked up the rain, making it heavy. On the flip side, the rain melted the salt in Moco’s bag, making it super light.
Suddenly, Moco started flying higher and higher, surpassing Coco. In the end, Moco won the challenge. Coco had to face defeat, even though he tried to be tricky. The simple and honest crow, Moco, emerged victorious despite Coco’s cunning plans.
Moral: Do not be clever. Cleverness never pays in life.
