Task 1: Write to a hotel about its receptionist not waking you up and causing trouble. In your letter, you should say :

  • Introduce yourself
  • Why you wanted to wake up early and what happened
  • What you want the manager to do

 

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to bring to your kind notice the negligence of your receptionist during my recent stay at your hotel. My name is Joy, and I stayed in room 205 from the 12th to the 14th of September. I had requested a wake-up call for 5:00 AM on the 13th, as I had a crucial business meeting to attend.

Regrettably, the call was not made, causing me to wake up late and miss the meeting, which led to considerable inconvenience and disruption to my professional schedule. Due to the mismanagement, I overslept and missed the meeting, resulting in significant disruption to my schedule. The worst part was losing an important business deal, which left me frustrated and regretful about the missed opportunity that could have made a difference.

I kindly request that you look into this matter to prevent such oversight in the future. Additionally, I would appreciate if you could consider an appropriate compensation for the trouble caused.
