I hope this letter finds you well. I’m writing to sincerely apologize for the unfortunate damage to the laptop I borrowed from you. I feel awful about what happened, as I know how much it means to you.
The accident occurred when I was using the laptop on my presentation day. I placed it on the edge of the table, and unfortunately, it slipped and fell. Despite my best efforts to handle it carefully, the damage was inevitable. I deeply regret my negligence and take full responsibility for it.
To make things right, I’ve already taken steps to resolve the situation. I’ve contacted a professional to repair it, and if it cannot be fixed to its original condition, I’ll ensure to replace it with a new one.
